Wild Hilda visiting the local garden center
This scene could be seen as a symbolic snapshot of that one moment each spring when my husband and I make our annual pilgrimage to the garden center and, once again, I simply canβt decide which "bloomie" (thatβs what we call flowers) get to come home with us. They're all beautiful, each in their own needy little way, all looking for a new forever home.
Wild Hilda and her dear husband in the background mark the beginning of my magical nature family. Think forest goblin meets wood elf, maybe with a sprinkle of troll genes. Who knows what else might sneak in overtime? One thing is certain: theyβre a little odd, not exactly pretty, definitely different, but deeply connected to nature and 100% DAZ.
This image also reflects my own emotional response when I first laid eyes on Sade Shizukuβs enchanting batch of young seedlings. Pure joy - and a tiny claim to great art.
So here they are:

Animsakari
Usually looks a little confused peeking out of her pot. She doesnβt need water. She thrives on attention, the occasional round of applause, and a few kind words whispered in passing.

Baby Cacti
Looks like an adorably yawning baby in pajamas. But be warned: if you wake her before sunrise, sheβll prick you just out of principle.

Bad Seed
A deep green, wannabe-octopus plant with slithery tentacle arms. Her stare is intense, and when she opens her mouth, you canβt help but wonder if sheβs quietly cursing under her breathβ¦ or if she might belong to some carnivorous species after all.

Csubbi
With her cheerful little face and closed eyes, she seems to bask in the sunlight, dreaming of one day becoming a sunbeam herself.

Sleepy
A delicate, light green baby plant with only a few tiny leaves. She sleeps so peacefully, youβll find yourself whispering around her. But look closer, sometimes a leaf twitches, like sheβs dreaming of somethingβ¦ not entirely innocent. Is she just tired, or gathering strength for something bigger?

Tanci
The tallest of the Toon plants, Tanci has a twisted trunk, two wild branches, and a blissed-out expression as if she just inhaled something deeply mind-expanding. She floats somewhere between enlightenment and total, delightful confusion.
