Meet Ratu and Silvia, the inhabitants of the House in the woods, a short hike from the nearest village.
Silvia is an enigmatic and reclusive herbalist, a woman of a few words. She likes spending long hours alone contemplating nature, creating and brewing new recipes, or tinkering with mechanical devices of her own conception. Many among the villagers appreciate her cures and balms, but also her special-brew herbal teas, soups and condiments. Others seem convinced that she is some kind of witch who changes children into bats.
Ratu is a talking bat, a rare sight in these regions. She traveled a long way from her native country, before meeting Silvia and settling at the House. She is cheerful and talkative. She loves going on adventures and exploring the forest and
eating spying some cool bugs. She took over the shop management with extreme rigor. She also likes welcoming customers... when they aren't afraid of bats. Children of the village aren't afraid of course, they know intuitively that she is friendly.
Ratu and Silvia almost instantly became friends. They obviously share a special bond despite their opposite personality.
