Sade mentioned bags of chinchilla food (or pet food in general)
Those can be textured fairly easily by someone with photoshop and would be nice to add.

With bags of petfood we can also have cans of petfood of course.

For a somewhat harder challenge, maybe morph it so it can be opened or torn for our hungry little critters :D

I don't know how hard these would be to make, but what about headwear? Like little crowns, bows, flowers, holiday themed headbands, etc., nothing that would need to fit or conform, just little props to set on top of them?

I initially wanted to make such props for the llamas, like the various devart badges, but displacement fluff makes it difficult because it changes the plush shape and you can't see it while modelling. Simple things, like bows or flowers, that don't require a fit and can be used with any plush are definitely possible.

I haven't worked with displacement fur a lot but I assume its something like a heightmap, if its a texture could you load a different displacement texture with the hat?

We can also add a reset texture to set it back to the default if people want to remove the hat, unless they want a llama with a bald patch

It is like a bump map, but they work differently. A bump map doesn't alter the geometry as far as I know, while displacement does (which is why displacement needs a high subD). I suppose you could paint the displacement map to cut out the part of the head where the hat would be, but someone would have to figure out on the noise map exactly where to do so.

If you want to participate or not is totally up to you,
the idea of the whole project is to have everyone who wants to help be able to help, have fun and learn something new.
At the moment there are several people working on props, once one of them is done other people can make textures for them and the more people do that the more textures the end result will have.

As for having a detailed description for you that all depends on what you can and want to do.
If you want to make textures you need to wait for a bit for the first props to be done.
If you want to make props you can pick one from the list or think of one yourself and work on that.
